 Located in historic Vincennes, the Indiana Military Museum is home to one of the best, most comprehensive collections of military memorabilia in the country. The museum's collections contain weapons, uniforms, armor, aircraft and other military artifacts from all the wars and military actions in which the United States took part.

From the outside, the unimposing building displays no hint of the extent of the collection inside. Upon entering the museum, the signage and displays lead the visitor along an amazing tour of United States military history. An extensive array of photographs, charts, signs and weaponry allow the visitor to see the evolution of military weapons, uniforms and vehicles. The collection includes military paraphernalia from the following wars:
Revolutionary War
War of 1812
Mexican
Civil War
Spanish American War
World War I
World War II
Korean War
Vietnam War
Gulf War
The museum even includes a display of World War II items from Vincennes’s favorite son, Red Skelton.

Outdoors the visitor will find an extensive collection of military aircraft and armor. The collection includes Russian and Chinese military items as well as weaponry and vehicles from the United States Military. Visitors may walk inside a German D-Day style Bunker.

Museum Library
The Indiana Military Museum maintains an extensive military library, which visitors may use for research. Museum members may use the library as part of their membership dues; other visitors may use it as part of their admission fee.
Guided Museum Tours
Museum staff can give guided tours of the museum with advance notice.
Events
