Of the 600 covered bridges that once existed in Indiana there are still over ninety still standing. The Indiana Covered Bridge Loop includes several of these historic bridges. The Indiana Covered Bridge Loop is approximately 216 miles long. It is a perfect trip for a long weekend of sightseeing or a daylong adventure on two wheels or four. You can start your adventure on the Indiana Covered Bridge Loop at any point. The Loop includes nine historic bridges in six central Indiana Counties. Six of the bridges are still open for traffic and three are pedestrian or bicycle traffic only.
