The Hinkle-Garton farmstead was donated to BRI by Daisy Garton, a long-time resident of Bloomington who was also an ardent BRI supporter. The farmstead now covers over 11 acres, with two homes, four farm outbuildings, and extensive grounds.
The Hinkle-Garton Farmstead Community Historic Site often hosts exhibits and classes, and usually has a museum open day on the last Saturday of the month.
