Indiana State Road 1 runs north from an intersection with US Route 50 in Greendale, Indiana across the eastern part of Indiana to an intersection with US Route 20 near Angola, Indiana. On the way it crosses Dearborn, Franklin, Fayette, Wayne, Randolph, Jay, Wells, Allen, Dekalb, and Steuben counties.

Length - Approximately 16.7 miles.

Indiana State Road 1 begins at an intersection with US Route 50 in Greendale, which also allows access to Interstate 275 at Exit 16. About 14.6 miles north the highway intersects Interstate 74, Exit 164. About three tenths of a mile north it intersects Indiana State Road 46. About 1.66 miles north it passes into Franklin County after passing throught St. Leon, Indiana.
