There are several hiking trails, including an archery trail which may be used to sharpen your archery skills. The lake provides habitat for many species of birds. Red-necked Grebe, Mute Swan, Snow Goose, and Black Vulture. Red-shouldered Hawks as well as many others have been sighted here.
