Ohio County Courthouse

Exploring Indiana's Historic Sites,
Markers & Museums -
South East Edition
In 1844-45, the Ohio County Court House was built entirely by donations; Col. Abel C. Pepper donated the land on which it was constructed. The Ohio County Courthouse is the oldest operating courthouse in Indiana. It is Classical in style and has Doric details in the front facade.
