Visitors will find this view of the White River at Mound State Park. The 290-acre Mounds State Park preserves ten earth work Adena and Hopewell mounds constructed around 160 BC. These mounds were used primarily as ceremonial and astronomical observational sites. The largest mound in the park, “Great Mound,” is about a quarter mile in diameter.
