Routt House

Constructed in 1832, the Routt House was the first stop for the stage coach New Albany-Vincennes Trace route in the middle 1800's. Except for this house, the town of Mount Pleasant has disappeared from history. The Routt House is located two miles south of Indiana State Road 550 on the Mount Pleasant Road.
