Pinnacle Rock, or simply the Pinnacle, is located in Jug Rock Nature Preserve near Shoals, Indiana. Pinnacle Rock is a huge sandstone rock formation with a vertical drop of over two hundred feet. Pinnacle Rock was part of a huge sandstone rock formation that eroded away over the centuries leaving the formations of Pinnacle Rock, Jug Rock and other rock formations along the river.
