Bluffs of Beaver Bend

Bluffs of Beaver Bend

Directions
To get to Bluffs of Beaver Bluffs from Shoals, travel west on U.S. 50 into town. Immediately past the White River Bridge on the southeast corner, turn left (south) onto Water Street (C.R. 63). Continue south to Spout Springs Road (this is the first right you can take) and turn right. Travel roughly .13 mile to the parking lot on the left side of the road.

The Bluffs of Beaver Bend possess a rich variety of ferns and wildflowers. The colorful sandstone bluffs tower one hundred feet above the White River. The Bluffs were used by the American Indians for shelter and they gathered food from the river. The Nature Conservancy & Division of Nature Preserves owns and manages The 748 acre. There are no trails so visitors are asked to please tread carefully.
