Cave Hill Road
Length - Approximately 10.1 Miles
Cave Hill Road connects US Route 50 to Indiana State Road 62 and is the shortest route from Versailles to Friendship, Indiana. It is a curvy, narrow asphalt road that crosses Laughery Creek twice, once using a steel truss bridge and the other a concrete bridge. Both of these bridges are one-lane bridges, so if you travel the road, be careful crossing these bridges. This is a scenic road to travel on, but it is curvy, hilly and narrow.

The south entrance is just outside of Friendship on the east side of the bridge that crosses Laughery Creek. Be vigilant, as there are a couple of places that it is easy to go the wrong direction. The first spot is about four miles from the intersection with Indiana State Road 62. Cave Hill Road goes right. It veers right, crosses a concrete bridge and then turns sharp left. The last couple of miles Cave Hill Road passes through the southern section of Versailles State Park before intersecting US Route 50 just across from the entrance to Versailles State Park. If there has been a lot of rainfall, this road should be avoided as Laughery Creek may flood the sections closest to it.
