The Pioneer Mothers Memorial Forest is an 88 acre forest south of Paoli. It is the last old-growth forest of its size in Indiana. It features a large stand of very large trees and a one mile, one way hiking trail. This would be a two mile round trip hike through one of the last old growth timber tracts in the state of Indiana. Access to the Pioneer Mothers Memorial Forest is from State Road 37, about two miles south of Paoli.
