The Lanning House (a post Civil War home built by Dr. Lanning) and the 1920 Annex are a part of the Salem Museum called the John Hay Center. Hay was President Lincoln's secretary. Salem is 45 minutes from Louisville, Kentucky and near Madison Spring Mill Park and Corydon's state capitol. The Lanning House is a great for to stay for genealogical researchers, history lovers, and antique buffs. Seven rooms available are available at the Lanning House.
